Reminds of Psalm 22.
In the immortal words of inspector Clouseau…
“I thought you said your dogma did not bite!”
“That is not my dogma…”
geez that puppy bible’s weird.
i LOVE that scene brian.
An instant favorite!
This made me laugh. But there are churches/pastors like that. It’s how they keep people in line.
Great commentary on how the church works at controlling its membership … and it hurts.
I think of the truth of God’s Word as liberating. It’s like the psalmist, who says, “The Law of the Lord is Life”. Usually when we think of laws we think of something that is keeping me from doing what I want. Yet,isn’t the law life in that it helps us to do what we are supposed to do?
@VanPastor, the truth of God’s Word IS liberating. When I look at this cartoon, I think of what people do with His word and how it goes from being life-giving to stifling, abusive, etc.
