Snake handlers are Christians too. They come out of the holiness movement and believe they are just being faithful to Mark 16:18, “they shall pick up serpents”. For the record, there have been plenty of deaths in thier small community and they do not view it as a sign that the person lacked faith or holiness. Instead, they view it as the mystery of God and that dieing while living out God’s word is the best way to die.

No offense but I think it is a bit fundamentalist to make fun of someone else’s faith especially when you clearly don’t understand it.
