he’ll be home for christmas
this is our first-born, josh. he lives in ottawa and is home for christmas. we love our three kids so much, and when he left after he graduated from high-school, it was like a friggin’ death! we sobbed like babies. it is a huge event when he comes home to visit. we have another son, jesse, who’s graduating this year and we’re already preparing for another ‘funeral’ because we’re sure he’ll head off to discover the world too. casile, our daughter, has a few more years with us. it’s been nice sitting around talking and laughing. today, he and his brother and friends are off to poley snowboarding, even though our grass is still green. snow-making machines in full swing.

Maybe one of these days I’ll run into Josh in Ottawa. I can’t even begin to imagine what it will be like when our girls start thinking about life beyond the nest. Luckly for us our oldest is just 6, we have a few years to enjoy her yet.
I can relate! My son left to go back down south yesterday. Don’t worry, the snow is on the way. We got 5″ in about 3 hours and it still coming down here in maine. Its head’n your way!!!
The secret is to have so many you don’t notice when one leaves
and steve speaks from experience! come on steve… it must hurt a little.
Actually Dave it does hurt, a lot.
The only thing worse than seeing them leave home is seeing them come back!
What a great looking son! I’m glad you have all enjoyed this time together.
Here in south Texas, we have our two college kids home, so our 15 year old is not as bored. The house is always full of life when everyone is home.
Happy New Year!
