Religion can do tricks:

You can argue that hate is actually an expression of love.

You can insist that hurting people is actually for their own good.

You can discriminate against people and say it’s not you but the bible.

You can deny people their basic human freedoms and rights and feel you’ve done immense good in the world.

You can act insane and believe you’re the only wise person on the entire planet.

I used to think you and I were two of the few sane people on the planet David, but now I am having my doubts about you 😛 😉

“new and exciting ways to show God’s love” ? Leaving out “god” in the equation would help the situation, no bible, no god’s love and you are totally responsible for your actions.

I used to think if I thought I was going insane and everyone was saying I am ok i would be doing ok and the time to worry would be if I thought I was sane and others thought I was nuts.

Now I think I am sane and others nuts, which probably means I am insane but I have more fun this way 😉

Well Jesus was no doubt perceived as insane by many including some of his followers – wasn’t the Messiah supposed to come save the Jews from their oppressors with power & might? Instead he died on the cross- love won, not war or death. If that’s insane I’ll be that too, as best I can in my own broken muddling way.
