    This resonates. I am angry that so many religious (fundamentalist) messages were intended to justify abuse.

    I don’t know that there’s any other way to use this “truth.” “God has to crush you to bring out the best.” “You have to lose yourself to be of benefit to others.” You are just something to be used, not valued otherwise.

    Grapes, of course, have no free will. They exist to be eaten, to spread their seeds. People are not grapes. I am sick of being nothing more than a tool or thing to be used, consumed, and discarded.

    LOL! A bit too true! And, a clever way to capture that concept!

    I think that when we are in the midst of deconstruction, we swear there can be nothing good… it is all a disaster going forward… and we can’t go backward.

    And then, it happens… thoughts ferment… previous belief systems transform at some basic chemical level… and while the sugars of our previous faith may still be somewhat retained, the tannins of change cannot be ignored… indeed, they are savored.
