This cartoon is a strong condemnation of the current day pseudo-Christian church’s message. Today’s church is about political power, not acting justly or to loving mercy or walking humbly with our creator.

    LOL! I like this cartoon.

I like what RollieB described: political power vs. social justice.

Over the years, I have come to see that the church institution can, and should, have a role in social justice for the hungry, thirsty, sick, prisoner, homeless, and unclothed.

But when the church institution left those ‘needy groups’ mentioned by Jesus, and redefined ‘social justice’ as ‘denial of rights and privileges’ to other groups, then the church institution was focused on social maintenance, rather than social justice.

And to truly have social maintenance of the status quo – that is denial of rights and privileges to those Not Like You – you need laws that allow you legal right to deny others outside of the church arena.

To have laws in your favor, you need Political Power.

The White Evangelical Church in the US may indeed see no evil in worshiping the Heavenly Father, while see the face of Political Power.

    They sadly have two Gods.
