    Yes, my (ex)church! But when you have christians being taught to believe that people could get over their trauma if they really wanted to, is it any wonder?

    Yesterday, I listened online to someone from my ex-church preaching and he literally said, “…there’s not an area that we are struggling with in our lives where we cannot walk in victory”. Amongst other things he mentioned sickness, depression, anxiety, addiction, and emotional issues. He was treating the bible like a book of magic spells – and Jesus like a magic wand who can wave all your struggles away…
