Description: Four frames of a man with a bible standing next to the bed of a very sick woman as a nurse stands by. In frame 1 he says, "So sorry to see you like this. You know, this reminds me of a time when I was really sick too." 2. "But I had a bunch of people praying for me and I was so full of a victorious faith." 3. "I looked as bad as you do now but God came through for me and healed me and he's done it many times since." 4. She dies and he says, "And... OH! WOW! She's already gone to a better place!" The nurse thinks, "God, I hope so!"
This is really a commentary on so many people's inability to just be with people in their struggle, their pain, and their mortality.
Probably because of the fear and therefore denial of their own struggle, pain, and mortality.
Let's be with others.
And listen.
