Sometimes spiritual growth means adding to what we previously believed. But most often it means completely changing our minds.

I call this the renewing of our minds.

Even Saint Paul talks about being transformed by the renewing of your minds.

Don't think of spiritual growth as an incremental increase in knowledge. What we want is wisdom, and that is attained by constantly returning to openness to mystery.
