Abuse and the Church's Reputation
There are at least two issues going on in this cartoon.
One is that many have a deep need to protect the reputation of the church. They view all critiques as attacks on the Bride of Christ. They will stop at nothing to conceal and deny its ugly inner life. No matter how many people are hurt and how seriously, what’s most important is the church’s witness in the world, and keeping it in the family protects this.
The second is that it’s not working. Just like abuse in the home leaks out in black eyes, bruises, a cowering demeanor, and eventually testimonies, so the church’s abuse is leaking out in countless wounded people and a flood of stories. It’s not a secret. Everybody knows.
Whatever reputation it had is sullied.
It’s time to deal with it.

Le début de la guérison, c’est la reconnaissance que la maladie a frappé!
L’Eternel, Lui, connaît toutes choses et Son Esprit est à l’oeuvre et assez Puissant
pour nous faire cheminer dans toutes ces vagues, en écumant de temps en temps…
Mais si des hommes pensent qu’il faut supplanter Dieu pour protéger Son Eglise,
je pense malheureusement que ces gens consciemment ou pas, cherchent plutôt
éventuellement à se protéger eux-mêmes!
Mais je peux me tromper!
Quoi qu’il en soit, notre Dieu est Saint, plein de Bontés, Paix, Amour, Miséricordes, Bienveillant, Fidèle, Juste, Droit, sans iniquité, …
Oh Jésus est si Doux….!
C’est vraiment terrible ces agissements qui sont comme des coups de poing dans Son dos!
Pardon Seigneur, aide-nous, nous avons cruellement besoin de Toi!
