Can We Just be Human?
Humanity's inhumanity to humanity is inhuman!
"Humane" comes from the same root word, which means to show compassion and benevolence, and the "humanities" are the study on what has a civilizing or refining effect on people.
We might have to find another root word for those ideas. As I read on twitter somewhere this morning, to those in power, to be human is considered a hostile act.
