A couple in a car clasp hands as they approach a sign on the road that says, "CAUTION DECONSTRUCTION AHEAD: EXPECT ROUGH ROAD".
You don't plan on deconstructing your beliefs.
It happens to you.
It's like driving along your favorite road and suddenly everything begins to change.
There are warning signs:
You have questions.
You change your mind.
They have questions about you.
They have concerns about you.
They notice you're changing.
I've been through this.
Yes, it was a rough road.
BUT... it was also the most scenic.
In fact, I now choose this road all the time. I stay off the main highway and stick to the scenic route.
It is bumpier and takes longer but it is far more beautiful, peaceful, and joyful.
And it is also less crowded and busy.
Luckily for these people they have each other to ride it together with. Which has its own challenges.
I always say buckle up and enjoy the ride!
(Did you know I wrote a book for couples going through deconstruction called "Til Doubt Do Us Part: When Changing Beliefs Change Your Marriage" on Amazon?)
