I'm feeling especially thankful for my community today. Against unbelievable odds, we have conquered a mighty mountain of opposition, negativity, crises, curses and near death experiences where there was no light at the end of the tunnel. None of us could've done it alone. It reminds me of some books I've read about teams on Mount Everest... the struggle, the necessity of clear communication, the risk, the danger, the rigor, the courage. We've lost some along the way and I am forever sad about that. I long for reconciliation. Some of us have suffered serious injury that will affect us for the rest of our lives. I know some might think I am speaking hyperbolically, but I don't think so. We were certainly on a different geographical plane, but one that was just as foreboding and treacherous. And we made it. We did it. We are here to tell you our story. And it is fascinating.
By the way, this original watercolor painting of mine, entitled "Climbing", is available
HERE. It's also this week's submission to Illustration Friday.
