Coming Out or Invited In?

I saw a post the other day in which a gay person said that they'd rather say they invited people in rather than that they came out.

And I liked it.

I think it's true. Isn't it?

If LGBTQ+ people wanted in included, accepted, received‚ then wouldn't it be easier for them to stay in the closet?

Wouldn't they have a better chance of being a part of the crowd if they continued concealing themselves?

Instead, when they come out, aren't they indeed inviting others into their unique and personal stories?

Even at the risk of being rejected, marginalized, and excluded?

Aren't they truly granting us the privilege of sharing in their lives?

Aren't they saying, Welcome to me!?
