I've told people things about myself I never should have.
I trusted their title, "pastor" or "leader", rather than them as a person.
Being vulnerable with your secrets is healthy in a trusting relationship.
Being vulnerable with your secrets publicly when you're ready may be healthy too.
But, it's damaging when your secrets become information used against you.
Do not feel compelled to share your story just because you're told you should.
Only do it when you know you and your story are safe.
