In fact, it is the prevailing theme throughout his birth, life, and death. It is also the predominant theme of the earliest believing community. Then church happened. And as institutions are wont to go, it created its own throne and sat itself in it. Then it established a keen line of distinction between those in power and the lowly that still thrives today. There are some, even within the church, who continue the most primary mission of challenging the principalities, powers, and authorities. Change is possible.
