Which confirms my suspicion that we already know what we want and look for permission anywhere we can. The bible is used as a rubber stamp of approval on almost everything. This is why it is so important to examine our beliefs, our thoughts, and see where their roots lie. Until we realize that our minds' main concern is with self-preservation, protecting the organism, and that our thoughts are emanations of this, we will continue to blindly believe whatever we believe, plus find endorsement for it.
