I Believe in You

I Believe in You

i believe in you cartoon by nakedpastor david hayward

Description: A man stands on a subway train with a t-shirt that says "I Believe in Jesus". Jesus stands next to him with "I Believe in You" on his robe. They both smile at each other.

Growing up as a Christian and into adulthood, my obsession with believing in Jesus negated my believing in myself.

I had a clear choice:

Either it’s all Jesus and no me, or it’s all me and no Jesus.

Later in life I learned that believing in myself is one of the healthiest things I can do.

It didn’t come to me easily though.

It came in developments.

When I finally saw and realized that we are all one, connected and united on a deep and fundamental level, then I realized this included God… Christ… as well.

The reconciliation of all things is complete. We just can’t see it yet.

The All in all is real. We just won't acknowledge it.

The very mystical pronouncement of Jesus… that he is in God and he is in us and we are in him... is not an hypothesis. It is a deep truth we must integrate.

Knowing this led me to understand that believing in Jesus was believing in myself, and believing in myself was believing in Jesus.

We are one.

All of us and everything.
