Jesus, the church, the circus, and monkeys

(*** UPDATE: Okay! I love this when my readers suggest a better version and I agree with them and we collaboratively create a better cartoon! I originally had Jesus saying, "Not my circus, not my monkeys." But I think this is better, "Not my circus, but they are my monkeys!" It's based on an old Polish proverb. Thanks guys! This happened yesterday as well with my icon drawing of Christ, "Neither", where I made the orb trinitarian rather than binary.) "Not my circus, not my monkeys." An old proverb. Now, I believe in the oneness of all things. So I am connected, I know, to everyone, including those I profoundly disagree with. Even those I critique, I am one with. Which is exactly why I critique. So, even though I don't think the Jesus of the gospels would be impressed with the state of the church today, neither do I think he would have believed it is separate from him. Therefore, on a deeper philosophically Christological level, we are his circus and we are his monkeys. Want to come join our circus at The Lasting Supper? You don't even have to run away from home! We're a great bunch of monkeys.
