The whole point of love is that it is unconditional. If there are terms and conditions to love then it is a legal contract.
Receiving unconditional love is awesome. Giving it... not so much.
Institutions function better with terms and conditions. Those in authority know this.
So churches always have a choice to make: Will we risk everything to love unconditionally? Or will we take the more secure route of relating to others via terms and conditions?
