Actually, it always ends up being self-condemnation. I mean, I can be the object of the condemnation of others. But I don't have to accept it and live under it. They can make my life miserable, but I don't have to believe what they say about me. But if I condemn myself, then I allow the condemnation of others to wield personal power. I remember the day when I learned to transform the saying of Jesus, "Neither do I condemn you", into, "Neither do I condemn me!" A powerful self-liberating act.
