sun sets moon rises
Yes, it has set,
the brightest light.
At least for a time.
At least for the night.
See the moon rise,
fairest of lights.
It will bring me peace
and adorn my sight.
I will await
the dawn of day.
I know it shall come
and lighten my way.
I "painted" the above image with my finger using the "Brushes" app on my iPhone. It is a scene from the river in front of my house. The sun had just set, blasting an array of colour across the horizon. The full moon was rising in all its splendour.
My daughter Casile has a small saying she always repeats: "Have hope!"
That's what the moon meant to me that night.
