The Church Separated Me From Me
Description: The Church stands between me and the me I want to be.
THE CHURCH SEPARATED ME FROM ME
At first I didn’t know this.
I was allowed to change. To a point.
So I always gravitated towards churches that would allow me to grow.
The last church I was in allowed me to grow. I appreciated it.
But then I came to a point where they were starting to feel uncomfortable, as well as my authorities, others churches and pastors.
I’d reached my final permissible iteration.
My only choices were:
- Stay and conform.
- Leave and change.
I chose the latter and I’m glad I did.
I want you to know I’m very grateful to the Church for giving me so much resources and room to grow.
We just came to the point where we couldn’t be together anymore if I was going to continue growing.
We had an amicable divorce.
It no longer separates me from the me I want to be.
