THE FAILED LOGIC OF LOVE THE SINNER HATE THE SIN

This cartoon has been making the rounds lately. It's from 2019 so I thought I'd share it again.

A man says to another man at a table, "Let me explain to you 'Love the sinner hate the sin'. I have to hate your sin of homosexuality. So I have to hate WHAT you DO. Since I have to hate WHAT you DO I have to hate WHAT you ARE. And since I have to hate WHAT you ARE I have to hate WHO you ARE. And since I have to hate WHO you ARE I have to hate YOU. But I love you. Get it?"

Whenever I try to reply to people like this I realize it's a losing game because they refuse to understand that being LGBTQ+ is also about identity. This is why, for example, they still want conversion therapy to be a thing. They really do believe it's all in your head and connected to lust. 

Anyway... maybe we can love the bigot hate the bigotry.
Because I've seen people convert from hate to love.
Now THAT'S a conversion therapy I support!
