Hey everyone. Someone on the beautiful Prince Edward Island has offered to let us use their cottage so we're heading over there now for a much-needed rest. I'm trying to discern which is the best way to go now with my blog. After the grunge-bomb hit from SOL and Apprise my traffic has increased exponentially. I don't expect that to last. But I do need to figure out a way to do this in a more simple, peaceful and restful way. Plus I'm tired and I need some recuperation. It takes a great deal of effort to live fully in the present and not get sucked into the whole vision-flurry that is so popular today. It takes great energy to stay simple. Something I've been thinking about: I don't think our biblical heroes lived "according" to scripture, as if it was some kind of manual for everyday living. I think their lives made scripture. They are what scripture is made of. Generally speaking, David famously didn't follow the rules, nor did Jesus or Paul. They didn't live constantly measuring themselves against the writings. I think they saw that the writings were meant to deliver us into liberty... total freedom. When accomplished in a truthful manner, our lives end up being scriptural automatically. More on that later. I'm going on my credit card. If anyone feels so inclined to help me have a restful time, you can click on "buy me a beer" at the bottom of this post and it will go to my paypal account. Blessings on all of you, altogether, all of the time. The fine art photograph is the creation of my friend Howard Nowlan.
