When a Church can Smell your Fear

WHEN A CHURCH CAN SMELL YOUR FEAR

They say dogs can smell fear. If a violent dog smells fear it will perceive you as easy prey and attack.

Sorry to say, but churches and pastors can be the same.

Do not allow any church or pastor to prey on you.

This is about churches and pastors that do that.

First of all, they will try to persuade you that you are indeed weak.

Then, when you’re wondering why you are weak, you’ll start feeling insecure, and they will try to convince you that your insecurity is because you are sinful.

Then, once you’re convinced that you are sinful and therefore in serious trouble, your fear sets in.

That’s when they’ve got you!

The way to nip all this in the bud is by feeling confident… that you are, indeed, already okay.

There’s nothing more threatening to a controlling church or pastor than a self-confident person.

Rather than rejoicing in your joyful and confident personhood, they perceive you as a recalcitrant spirit.

Not easy prey.

Do not be afraid. Because you have no reason to be!
