In fact, I think all deconstruction hits you hard.
I've known some people who revert back to before deconstruction started to set in full force. It was too scary so they retreated. They pretend not to know the truth from then on. It's too hard!
Because, it's not easy changing your beliefs, losing your faith, altering your relationship to the church, etcetera.
It's very difficult to change your mind and therefore your relationships.
It's scary because it costs a lot.
On top of the personal terror of questioning and doubting their beliefs, many people experience the loss of friends, family, community, and even children and spouses.
Because their personal growth is more important than keeping everyone else happy.
