We all tend to imagine people as we want them to be rather than as they are. We fantasize people. Men especially fantasize women. We live in a culture that encourages and promotes it.
Gender inequality and sexual harassment are major issues. Sometimes it seems like things are actually getting worse! Again, my theory is that as parts of our culture become more progressive, other parts in reaction will become more digressive.
