New policy:

Ignore stupid. Block hate.

As NakedPastor grows, so do the bullies.

People love the vibe of our community: it’s inclusion, the mutual respect, love, and support, the authenticity, affirmation, validation, and the joy all these bring.

We’re a real and happy place.

Then along comes a sanctimonious bully preaching and correcting people.
At first I didn’t know what to do.

Because they all claim the same things:

a divine mandate to correct us, and
the freedom of speech to do it.

First, I don’t believe they have a divine mandate.
Second, you’re free to speak that way, but not here.

Spiritual bullies think every discussion is a debate and every thread an opportunity to coerce sinners to repentance.

They’re wrong.

The NakedPastor community is a space where we mutually respect and give room for one another to be who we are, explore and express our own authenticity, and live free lives.

We don’t argue about whether or not women are equal to men, whether or not LGBTQ+ people are okay, or whether or not we have the individual right what to believe and how to be spiritual. We already assume these to be true and beyond debate.

So condemnation isn’t welcome.

If they bully:

I delete.
I warn.
I block if they persist.

Cry me a river.

The world is teeming with spaces to express hate. It’s a problem.
So I’ve made it my intention to create alternative spaces that are as safe as possible.

I’ve decided:

It’s okay to not listen to stupid.
It’s okay to remove toxic people from your life.

Do it. You'll be glad you did.

Call me overprotective.
I don’t care.
