The ancient and barbaric practice of stoning people was a way to remove an undesirable person from the community.

Now, instead of stoning…
words are preferred,
or ridiculing,
or judging,
or ostracizing,
or disenfranchising,
or marginalizing,
or rejecting,
or exiling.

Let’s not stone people.

Literally or figuratively!

  1. Sadly, a biting but accurate depiction of some segments of “christianity” today. See the Methodists and the Covenantors.

  2. Wonderful cartoon! I left the Anglican church in 2015, because I support same sex marriage – love is love, is love. My younger brother was gay too, and I stood with him – he was also addicted to heroin, so stigmatised and condemned by most, yet was incredibly kind to other addicts. I saw that truth and am grateful for his life (he took his life on Good Friday, 2009.) In honour of him and Christ’s affirming, unconditional love, I stand and sit with all the marginalised and condemned people in the world, choosing to see their humanity. WE are afraid to change, which is why we scapegoat others. I’d rather walk mostly on my own than fit in, because for me, Love comes first…..
