One of the most important spiritual lessons we can learn is that we are exactly where we are supposed to be right now. This doesn't mean things shouldn't change or that we shouldn't try to improve things for ourselves and others. But what it does mean is that we need to be here now in order to be there then. Being present is always the first and most important step. Fortunately, for this person, they are in an utterly beautiful place. Here!

This is a watercolor and ink painting on watercolor paper.

It measures approximately 8"x10" with a white border for matting and framing.

I live in eastern Canada. I'm fascinated by the complex but minimal simplicity of the geography that surrounds me. I endeavor to capture its essence in my work. There is something mystical, contemplative, and spiritual in my art... because there is in the place where I live.
