SCRIPTURE AND THE SUBMISSION OF WOMEN

I wouldn't claim this was done consciously. 

But certainly unconsciously. 

Just as the men back then wrote out of their own cultural paradigms, biases, preferences, and prejudices, so do many people today similarly read and interpret them.
