The Gift of Wisdom

A man and a woman sit drinking their coffee or tea. He says to her, "God's given me the gift of wisdom." She says, "Oh ya? When you gonna open it?"

I spent many years in Pentecostal and charismatic congregations and even pastored some. There's lots of talk about spiritual gifts. 

Often people considered them something to boast about.

I believe we all are gifted in our own unique ways. 

This is not to be hoarded or boasted about or kept for ourselves.

Their purpose is to serve others and benefit the community.

It's not enough to have a gift.

You've gotta open it.
