Description: A woman stands before a group of men who caught her in adultery. She’s in color. They’re in black and white.

I drew this back in 2009.

I wanted to show the contrast between her, alive and in color, and the men who caught her who live in a stone cold world of stern cruelty.

The truth is they didn’t care about the woman at all.

As usual, they were using the woman as a lesson, an example, as an object to prove their point, as a way to trap Jesus.

I imagine the men walked away in their shame.

The woman walked away in her dignity.
