Theology Road Dead End

Atheists may love this. Believers may love this. Agnostics may love this. I refuse to believe any of them. I had to find out for myself what was at the end of this road. When I realized that the word is not the thing, I also realized that theology only takes us so far. It's like Buddha's raft that took him across the river only to be abandoned once its purpose was served. Don't get me wrong. I do love theology. But it only took me so far. I compare it to a road that took me to the edge of a cliff. Its purpose was served. Now I had to go back or make a leap. What is beyond the word? What is beyond the idea? What's behind it? Is anything there? We cannot know unless we take the leap and go beyond what is being thought and said and into direct experience. I'm not saying there is or isn't anything there. Why? Because I'd just be adding more words to the heap. Words fail, as they must. You must find out for yourself. Will you? If you are getting a glimpse of what I'm talking about, join others like you in my very vibrant online community, The Lasting Supper. We'll welcome you there with open arms, internetingly speaking.
