This cartoon is centered on a popular theme in my art – the judgment and marginalization of members of the LGBTQIA+ community, by the church and much of society.
Here we see Jesus at a bar with an LGBTQIA+ sheep, and they’re surrounded by a group of judgmental sheep. It subtly poses some key questions and makes a statement at the same time. The questions… Who is the church to say who and who isn’t lovable? We should lament over the mistreatment of the LGBTQIA+ because it’s honestly enough to drive ANYONE to drink.
