It seems LGBTQIA+ folk, and even the founder, need to become acceptable in order to enter the church. Is this right?
Here we see an LGBTQIA+ sheep and Jesus both being asked to put on a socially acceptable costume. A very popular cartoon, it addresses a running theme in my work – the prerequisite need to jump through hoops in order to enter a place of worship. Is the point of the church to only love and accept people if they meet some sort of version of acceptable? It’s an important question – one we all ignore all too often.
Hang this on your wall as a reminder to never hide your authentic self in order to be loved or accepted.
