If you’ve been persecuted or marginalised because of where you were born, this one-of-a-kind NakedPastor artwork is for you.
Border Baby depicts Christ as a refugee baby who has been isolated and abused by border legislation. On his wrist are the words “1 is 2 many” because one baby going through this is too many, yet it is the reality for many. This baby Jesus art is meant to tug at heartstrings by posing the question: if there is nothing more innocent than a baby, why are we persecuting refugee babies at our borders?
The Images of Christ series contrasts the divine idea of Christ with the marginalized people who are often locked out of ‘holy’ spaces. It asks the question: if Christ can look like them, why can’t the Church include them? Watch my full Youtube Video on all my Images of Christ drawings including this one.
- Mixed media on high-quality art paper. - It measures approximately 8"x10" with enough room for matting and framing. - Not matted and framed, I suggest white double matte with a black frame. - Each original comes with a letter of authenticity signed by me.
I retain the copyright to all my images.
This is a one-of-a-kind NakedPastor original drawing and one of the few remaining drawings from the Images of Christ series. In a world where there aren’t many things that have not been mass-produced, duplicated, or copied, it’s good to remember that, at some point, there was always an original – an alpha. It was created with love and care.
