This cartoon, like most of my work, asks a question: Why is the church so obsessed with sex and the micromanagement of everything that goes with it?
So many things about religion seem so normal until you describe them in a way that makes you see it for what it is. The religious obsession with what people do with their genitals is, when you take an objective look at it, disturbing. Being overbearing about how people have sex seems to come with Evangelical territory. You can only have sex if you are married, you can put it in there but not there, you can have sex with this type of person but not that type, you can’t have sex with some whose genitals look the same as yours. And so on and so on.
