Sometimes we just need to take time for ourselves! "Give me a break!" has a kind of double entendre to it. Like a frustrated, "Oh please! Give me a BREAK!" But most often it's me, it's you, that needs to initiate it.

Even though I convey a lot of space in my paintings, I also like to convey a kind of love that thrives in serenity.

This is a Sumi ink and watercolour on heavy, high quality Arches watercolour cotton rag paper.

It measures approximately 8"x10" with a white border for matting and framing.

I'm fascinated by the complex but minimal simplicity of the geography that surrounds me. I endeavour to capture its essence in my work. There is something mystical, contemplative, and spiritual in my art... because there is in the place where I live.
