This painting is to help you remember the one you miss the most.

This one's in honor of my mom who died on Dec. 13, 2023. 

I knew it was done when I cried over it.

We were very close. I talked with her several times a week by phone.

She was my safe space. My comfort food. My listener. My supporter.

I will always miss her. That much is clear.

She loved the outdoors. 

This is how I picture us now.

Me in the foreground but on lower ground. Her in the distance on higher ground.

I wish she didn't go as soon as she did.

But she did. And the grief is real.

Miss you.
