We Meet Again Original Watercolor Painting

WE MEET AGAIN

This is a watercolor painting on heavy, high quality Arches watercolor paper.

It measures approximately 6.5"x6.5" with a white border for matting and framing.

I lost a brother in 2016. Then I lost my mom in 2023. There are some who believe that when a redbird shows up, it's one of your deceased loved ones dropping by to say hi and let you know they're okay.

Not necessarily believing in that kind of thing, I must say that I am seeing more redbirds since my loved ones passed. And, oddly and unusually, they hang around for a long time.

This happened just last weekend where a couple of redbirds landed in a tree like this outside our front window and stayed there for a good hour.

Whatever it means, I nevertheless found it comforting. 

I live in eastern Canada. I'm fascinated by the complex but minimal simplicity of the geography that surrounds me. I endeavour to capture its essence in my work. There is something mystical, contemplative, and spiritual in my art... because there is in the place where I live.

Not matted and framed. I suggest white double matte with a black frame.
