Two people, in nature, in love. There's something quite sublime about connecting in the great outdoors, under the stars, and it's a special treat if you get the Northern Lights.
Even though I convey a lot of space in my paintings, I also like to convey a kind of love that thrives in serenity.
This is a watercolour and ink painting on heavy, high quality Arches watercolour paper.
It measures approximately 8"x10" with a white border for matting and framing.
I'm fascinated by the complex but minimal simplicity of the geography that surrounds me. I endeavour to capture its essence in my work. There is something mystical, contemplative, and spiritual in my art... because there is in the place where I live.
