Swearing as a Spiritual Gift Sticker

I grew up in a family where swearing was absolutely forbidden. We couldn't "take the Lord's name in vain" or refer to hell or damnation in any way; we couldn't use scatological or sexual words; and we couldn't use any words that would be seen as substitutions for the "real" words: no gosh, darn, or Jiminy Cricket for us! As a result, I now swear like the proverbial sailor. I am often rebellious, I find. My father decreed that we could only have four pickle slices on our sandwiches, so now I gleefully have six; girls and women couldn't wear pants, so I haven't worn a skirt or dress for thirty years; we couldn't say "gee," so now I throw around the f-word like verbal confetti. So this fruit of the spirit sticker is PERFECT. Even better? My father would have hated it.
