Am I Too Vulnerable?

This is a watercolour painting on heavy, high quality Arches watercolour paper.

It measures approximately 22"x30" with a white border for matting and framing.

I speak and write a lot about vulnerability. I also paint about it a lot.

Here we see a common theme of mine: a solitary individual in the vastness of the wilderness.

Vulnerable. Exposed. Out in the open.

But this is what vulnerability means. It means taking a risk in a world that sometimes does not feel safe. 

The risk to be ourselves.

I'm fascinated by the complex but minimal simplicity of the geography that surrounds me. I endeavour to capture its essence in my work. There is something mystical, contemplative, and spiritual in my art... because there is in the place where I live.Not matted and framed. I suggest white double matte with a black frame.
