But I think a lot of this greed is unleashed because they don't believe science and it doesn't matter because it'll all be over soon anyway.

Essentially, they don't care.

I heard one preacher say he didn't care about fossil fuel consumption because Jesus was coming back soon anyway.

The Bible, which they pretend to follow, talks about being good stewards of the earth.

But the theme of the last days where everything is consumed with fire takes precedence because it relinquishes them from any responsibility to the earth and even to others.
