This painting celebrates relationships that are made up of widely diverse people who yet love each other. Like Lisa and me... we are very, very different. Some would say even incompatible! But we think that polarization is what creates such passionate energy in our marriage. Like the positive and negative poles on a battery create the power! (Some might claim I'm the negative pole! LOL)

With this painting, I experimented with a different kind of paper than I normally use. This is a handmade Japanese paper. Very special and very beautiful. It worked wonderfully!

Here in a remote part of Canada, I am surrounded by nature. The ocean. Rivers. Lakes. Trees. Expansive sky. Whenever I go out in nature I am always surprised by something. Maybe spotting a deer. Maybe a loon. Maybe an unusual mushroom or uniquely shaped tree. Nature is always dishing up wonderful gifts. Notice!

Welcome to my new miniature series. I'm challenging myself to paint an original miniature painting everyday and sell them for $200 USD each with free shipping.

Not only does this challenge me personally in my own creativity and production, but it gives access to more people for my original work.

I think most of these miniatures will be watercolor, but I might do a charcoal or even a canvas once in a while. Stay tuned.

These come NOT matted and framed, even though they may be pictured as framed so you can see what it will look like in your home or wherever.

- It measures approximately 6"x 8" with enough room for matting and framing.
- Not matted and framed, I suggest white double matte with a black frame.
