For the past several months I’ve been posting what I call my Sexy Sunday cartoons that challenge Purity Culture. Creating these cartoons has been bringing back a lot of memories.
Some of them bad.
Some of them good.
But ones like this is a mixture of both... because even though we're having fun, we were always in danger of getting caught. We were caught a few times. Even by the police!
But that didn't stop us. We were unquenchable. But I knew some couples who got caught and suffered greatly for it. Even being kicked out of Bible College. One of the most important and exciting personal journeys I'm on is appreciating the body. Being present... out of my head and into my body... with zero shame. With no thought that the spiritual is more important and takes priority over the material.
I'm done with that. This, for me, is a huge spiritual wholeness adventure, and the rewards are great.
