Lisa and I were married very very young. I was 22. She was 19.

One of the damaging effects of purity culture, though, is that talking about sex is taboo. Even thinking about sex is carnal.
So many of us raised in religion go into sexual relationships completely naïve and unprepared. Even about the basics of human anatomy.
For me, the female body was pretty much alien and I basically started learning from scratch that night. Not just about her body, but her sensuality, her sexuality, her depths of personality, and all that too.
I can't say it hasn't been fun though.
