It's Not Safe to Talk Original Sumi Ink and Watercolour on Paper
It's Not Safe to Talk
A woman told me recently that she saw a small maple tree in full glorious fall colours surrounded by dead or dying trees, as if they were trying to silence it. She said she saw this small tree as me, and that I sensed that "It's not safe to talk!"
Nevertheless, I still shine!
Someone suggested I paint it, so I did, and here it is.
Do you feel like this tree?
Even though I convey a lot of space in my paintings, I also like to convey a kind of love that thrives in serenity.
This is a Sumi ink and watercolour on heavy, high quality Arches watercolour cotton rag paper.
It measures approximately 8"x10" with a white border for matting and framing.
I'm fascinated by the complex but minimal simplicity of the geography that surrounds me. I endeavour to capture its essence in my work. There is something mystical, contemplative, and spiritual in my art... because there is in the place where I live.
Not matted and framed. I suggest white double matte with a black frame.
Each original comes with a letter of authenticity
I retain the copyright to all my images.
